United States: You should examine the product label of your frozen Wagmans breaded chicken breast nuggets before preparing another meal. 

Food Safety and Inspection Service under the U.S. Department of Agriculture released a public alert about bone fragment risks affecting specific packages, as reported by HealthDay

Details of Affected Product and Safety Precautions 

The Jan. 27 alert focuses on 46-ounce units of “Wegmans Family Pack Fully Cooked Breaded Chicken Breast with Rib Meat” that the maker produced on Aug. 26, 2024. 

The food expiration period is labeled Aug. 26, 2025, with the mark “P-33944” shown under the USDA inspection stamp. 

FSIS Responds to Consumer Complaints  

FSIS officials state that no recall has been issued for the product, although it is out of the market, yet warn consumers that specific packages might still exist in domestic households. 

FSIS has expressed concern that consumer freezers might hold some of this product, according to the issued statement. The advisory declares that consumers who bought this item should dispose of it before anyone consumes it. Users of this product need to dispose of them at once or take them back to the original place of purchase. 

Wegmans Chicken Nuggets Distributed Across Multiple States 

Wegmans distributed product nuggets carrying bones through their retail stores that maintained locations across Delaware, Maryland, and Massachusetts, along with stores in New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Washington D.C., as reported by HealthDay. 

The FSIS enacted the public warning after consumers complained about bone fragments found in their Wegmans nuggets. To date, FSIS has received no official reports about injuries.
